Ceramic pall rings

Ceramic pall rings originated through improvement of cylindrical rings. The openings effectuate separation of gas and liquid streams, which facilitates a more effective mass transfer. The pressure loss is further reduced due to moderate gas deflection. The capacity characteristics are more constant.
