High porosity top layer media

Beside the ceramic and high alumina top grading media, MTE produces top layers in high porosity material. Mainly used as a second layer on top of the catalyst. The main goal is to trap the contaminated particles. We provide two standard types, but we are also able to produce tailor made on special request.

Macro Por® high porosity top layer rings

Macro Por® high porosity top layer rings

The Macro Por® high porosity top layer rings are used to protect the catalyst from fouling and especially developed to extend the lifetime cycle. These rings reduce the pressure drop and contain a high void fraction. The pore diameters have an average of 100 – 120 nm and trap large particulates.

Rest-O-Por® high porosity top layer spheres

MTE produces the high porosity top layer also in sphere shape. The Rest-O-Por® high porosity top layer spheres of pure alumina give a very high surface area combined with an excellent crushing strength. Very suitable as a top layer or a catalyst carrier. Mainly used to trap small particles in its pores.
