Metal I-ring

The high performance I-ring random packing gives the best of both worlds in terms of performance, low-pressure drop and high efficiency.
The specific saddle shaped packing provides a lower pressure drop at the same vapor and liquid loads. Therefore it can be effectively used in both high pressure as well as vacuum towers.

Some of its other advantages include large effective interfacial area, high mechanical strength and low production costs. I-rings are generally used in distillation and absorption columns all around the world. It is available in various sizes, which give different combinations of efficiency and pressure drop. The geometrical form of the I-ring provides immense strength and minimizes nesting of contaminated liquid.
